My Gunzenhausen friends

Good times and good friends! My friend Helge adopts me into his family when I visit. Clockwise from left: Helge, Andy, Cordula, Heide, Ulrike, and Bonnie the dog. We're about to demolish copious quantities of beer, retsina wine, ouzo, and Greek cuisine. Regretably, we had to make it an early night, as I had to wake up at 2:30 am to drive back to Munich to catch my flight home. Auf Wiedersehen! Posted by Hello

Gunzenhausen

Took this picture Tuesday night in Gunzenhausen. That tower was built in 1300. It's a beautiful little town with an interesting history. Posted by Hello

OOM PA PA

Had lunch at the Hofbräu beer hall in Munich. Noon time on a Sunday, but the band was in full swing and people in lederhosen were dancing! It must be wild there on a Friday night! Posted by Hello

I was pretty sure I took a picture of the church where Archbishop Ratzinger used to say mass. I saw it on the news two nights later after he had been named Pope. I don't think this is the right photo though. Also, it didn't take long for the wise guys to show up! Guess what they call the new pope in Germany? Paparatzi....Nothing is sacred!!!! Posted by Hello

Munich Garden

The trees had leaves and freshly planted flowers bordered the walkways in this spacious park.

Arrived in Munich on Sunday, April 17. The weather was much better than forecast, and so I spent some time in old Munich, which I saw very little of on my last trip. Posted by Hello
